What could be so bad about the condition of the walls that people would panel over them completely?
I was afraid to look at the walls in this room because not only were they paneled over, but then they were textured and then they were painted several times. It looked for all the world like there was something to hide.

| The first panel came off easily and the wall appeared to be in good shape, however there was a strange paper treatment on it. On closer examination, we found that the whole wall had been papered with the covers of comic books. I'm sure a parent thought they could paint over it (above) and then it looked so aweful but seemed so tedious to remove that they decided to just panel over the whole thing. |

| The last panel was left in tact because a surface electrical conduit kept the fire alarm in place. We'll need to figure how to work around that. |

| circa 1973 |
 |
| Nice alternating pattern over the windows. |
 |
| Fortunately, It was easily removable. |
 |
| There were a few previous patches to the plaster, but they were in good shape as well. This room felt like a present. |

| One of my favorites. |
Don't you mean the TURRET bedroom? That's essentially a giant, three-story turret on the side of that house. Yes, HD, you have a turret. :-)
